About CarolinaNow

CarolinaNow.com provides five approaches to access information about the Carolinas.

1.    Visually, by our Carolina Locator Map and Local Area Maps

Starting with the Carolina Locator Map which is accessible via the second button on every navigator bar on every page (see 5 below) you can drill down to any specific area - visually. Most maps are actually two maps (see illustration at left) - the yellow Local Area Map and the multicolored Carolina Locator Map below or to the left. Thus, if you want to explore another area of Carolina, select the letter (A through U) identifying the area of your choice from the bottom map. (Note: For descriptions of the regions identified by the letters A through U, CLICK HERE.

2   Specifically, by our Carolina Community Index

If you know the name of the community you wish to visit, you can use the Community Index Bar located at the bottom of every page. Click on the initial letter of the community name. After the index loads, click on the name of the desired community.

If you would like to know more about using the Community Index, please visit the Carolina Community Index Description.

3.    Subject Area, by our Menu of Sites and Activities

CarolinaNow is sectioned off into subject areas (e.g. gardens, golf, lodging, waterfalls). If you know the subject area you wish to explore you can go directly to that area via the Menu of Sites and Activities.  The right-most button (labeled Menu) of each Navigation Bar (see illustration below) will take you directly to the Menu of Sites and Activities. Then just select your subject area from this Menu.

4.    Subject Area, by our Section and Icon Guide

Each subject area is identified by an icon in the upper left corner of the page except for those pages containing navigation maps. The contents of each of these sections is described in our Section and Icon Guide. Review the descriptions of these various subject areas. Then jump directly from the Section and Icon Guide to the initial page of your chosen subject area.

5.    Express jump via the Navigation Bar

The most frequently accessed areas are represented by hot buttons on the Navigation Bar. Usually the Navigation Bar looks like this:

In some sections, other buttons are added for your convenience. There is a Navigation Bar at the bottom of every page (hold down the control key and tap the end key of your keyboard to express jump to the bottom of any page). There is also, usually, a Navigation Bar near the top of each page.

Explore Carolina on CarolinaNow with your mouse first. Then come to Carolina and experience the pleasures wrapped in Carolina hospitality. And thank you for stopping by.
