Cape Fear Crocs

Cape Fear Crocs are the Montreal Expos Class A affiliate. The season runs April through August at the J.P.Riddle Stadium, 2823 Legion Rd. Most games feature special events of special interest to the kids. Box seats $6; Reserved (pavilion) seats $5; Military, senior citizens, children 14 and under $3; under age 2 FREE. Cumberland International Dragway

Pro.E.T. and Street E.T. drag racing on a one-eighth mile track. Sanctioned by the International Hot Rod Assoc. Saturday nights, March through October. 6p. On Doc Bennett Rd. For information, phone 919-876-1728 (note area code).

Fayetteville Motor Speedway

Stock car racing on a .4 mile clay, oval track. Saturday nights, April through September. 7:30p. On Doc Bennett Rd. For information, phone 486-5020.

Fort Bragg Tennis Club

Six, illuminated, hard courts. Normandy Dr. near the Fort Bragg Officer's Club. Civilians admitted. $4/hr/person. For more information phone 436-4411.

Jambbas Ranch (private zoological park)

A privately owned and maintained zoological park featuring a variety of wild animals (e.g.,  buffaloes, llamas, deer, elk, Watusi cows) in a natural habitat. Open to the public 9:30a to 5p Mon through Sat and 1 to 5p Sundays. Group tours scheduled by appointment. From I-95, Exit 49 - follow NC-53 east to the flashing light. Massey Hill Park

Mindboggle Electronic Game Arcade

40+ games. Located in the Cross Creek Mall which is at  Skibo Rd. (US-401 Bypass) and Morganton Rd. Normally open Mon-Thu 10a-11p; Fri-Sat 10a midnight; Sun noon-8p. For more information phone 867-8075.

Mountasia Golf and Electronic Game Arcade

Mountasia claims one of the largest video arcades in NC. Also available are two miniature golf courses, batting cages plus a movie theater. Hours: Mon-Fri 2-10p; Sat-Sun 10a-10p. Located in the Omni Shopping Plaza on Sycamore Dairy Rd. For more information phone 487-6000.

Mazarick Park Tennis Center

Ride On Slide Recreation Center

Facilities include water slides, batting cages, volleyball courts, Go Karts, remote control & slot cars, and a video arcade. There is also a picnic area and snack bar. Summer operation is 7 days/week from noon to 8p. Winter operation Wed-Sun from noon to dark. (note: water slides are closed during winter months). Located at 5319 Yadkin Rd.
