The ODDC SCGS is housed in the Hartsville Genealogy Research Library (located in the old railroad depot at 114 S. Fourth Street, Hartsville). With the cooperation and generous donations of our members, the community, and friends, the ODDC SCGS has collected files of of historical material and family lineages on paper and microfilm. And, with the help of volunteers, the we seek to preserve and maintain these documents. We not only have historical documents from the Darlington area, but from all over the United States. If you have not visited the depot, you have missed a real treasure.

The Hartsville Genealogy Research Library is located in the old railroad depot at 114 S. Fourth Street in beautiful downtown Hartsville, South Carolina. It is the home of the Old Darlington District Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society. The chapter officially moved into this beautiful symbol of days gone by, in June, 1997. With the cooperation and generous donations of its members, the community, and friends, the ODDC SCGS has collected files of of historical material and family lineages on paper and microfilm. With the help of volunteers the ODDC SCGS seeks to preserve and maintain these documents. We not only have historical documents from the Darlington area, but from all over the United States.
