The club has two goals:

1. maintenance of the Appalachian Trail
2. enjoy hiking the local Trails together

The NHC has a year-round program of hikes, meetings and activities described in a members' newsletter.
Activities are listed on http://www.smnet2.net/users/nhc/sched.html.
There are no formal membership requirements.
Guests are welcome on all hikes.
