Francis Marion University - Florence SC

Established in 1970. the university was named in honor of South Carolina's Revolutionary war hero, General Francis Marion. The university now has some 7 departments and 3 schools and offers 28 majors.(additional majors are offered through cooperative programs with other institutions). The total enrollment is about 4,000.
