Wofford College - SpartanburgFounded in 1854, and affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Wofford is South Carolina's first independent college to earn a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Wofford is located on its historic original campus in Spartanburg, SC. Enrollment is about 1,100 with a faculty-student ratio of about 1 to 14. More than half of the classes are composed of less than 20 students. Over 90 percent of the full-time teaching faculty members have earned the Ph.D (or equivalent) degree.
