SC-107/130 Sumter National Forest - Walhalla SC
Here are the South Carolina Foothills at their best! Only 12 miles through this northern piece of Sumter National Forest but it is a beautiful drive, - especially in the Autumn. Take SC-11 from I-85 (exit 1) through Walhalla and continue another 17 miles to SC-130. Turn left (north) and take it to the spectacular Whitewater Falls.
On the way back from the Falls, about 2 miles on the right, is the road that takes you to SC-107. Turn right, go about 2 more miles and turn left on SC-107. You'll enjoy the drive to Walhalla. Continue through Walhalla and rejoin SC-11. Turn right on SC-11 and return to I-85 (exit 1) at Fair Play. (Lake Hartwell State Park is a little over a mile from the freeway. It has picnic tables and a view of Lake Hartwell.)
