This is a web site - not a physical location for you to visit. 

Information is available on a wide variety of plant problems, including insects, diseases, wildlife, cultural and weather related problems. In addition, there are factsheets on household and structural pests, and pesticide safety.

Information and more than 400 factsheets from Clemson University on landscape, garden and indoor plants; insects, plant diseases and other problems; and food safety and preservation. Factsheets cover the planting, pruning, fertilization and other care of a variety of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, vines, flowers and lawns that are grown in South Carolina. Vegetable gardening, fruits and nuts, and the care of indoor plants are also included. 

Another section of the site covers food safety and preservation. Some of the topics covered include canning, freezing, drying and pickling of a variety of foods; safe handling and storage; holiday meals; and safe cooking. Information is also available on food-borne illnesses, and emergencies such as power outages, hurricanes and floods. The site also provides access to a selection of 600 tape messages available to South Carolina residents through a toll free number. Callers use a four digit code published in the HGIC User’s Guide (available on the web site) to retrieve the message they wish to hear.

The Jack Miller Memorial Conifer Garden - Clemson

Primarily a dwarf conifer garden, the Jack Miller Memorial Conifer Garden also contains some slow growing species which can become quite large after many years. While dwarf conifers are the primary subject, many flowering flora are included to brighten the visitors path. This is a community effort in honor of a revered elementary school principal. South Carolina Botanical Gardens - Clemson

In 1958, an effort commenced to restore this badly eroded piece of the old John C. Calhoun estate (on the Clemson College campus). Today the 270 acres is replete with a good variety of native flora, all accessible by a well-maintained network of trails. Open during daylight hours, 365 days a year. FREE Phone: (803) 656-3405
