Cypress Gardens - Moncks Corner

North of Charleston on US-52 is a place called Cypress Gardens. Once part of one of the many rice plantations that covered the Low Country, it now is a retreat for those of us appreciative of the quiet beauty of seemingly endless blooming flowers and trees. Yes, there are cypress trees, but the flowers which peak in March and April are the real stars of the show. You can tour by boat, also. Additional attractions include a Butterfly House and Reptile Aquarium, open year round. Admission is $10 for adults ($9 for seniors) and $5 for children. (about 30 minutes from I-26 exit 208 on US-52) 843-553-0515
