Redcliffe Plantation - Beech Island SC

Redcliffe was constructed in 1859 by South Carolina Governor James H. Hammond. In 1973, the 369-acre plantation was donated to the state by John Shaw Billings, a Hammond descendent and former editor of Time and Life magazines. The house has many of its original furnishings and works of art on display.

Redcliffe Plantation State Park is located 3 miles southeast of Beech Island off US-278.

Park Hours are 9a to 6p daily (except closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays) year round. Mailing address: 181 Redcliffe Rd., Beech Island SC 29841. Phone: (803) 827-1473 .
