Edgefield area FacilitiesNote: telephone area code is 803Magnolia Dale - Edgefield SCThe present Magnolia Dale structure was probably built around 1830 by Samuel Brooks of Middlesex CN. The home is located on land which was a part of a royal land grant to Peter Youngblood in 1762. Historical documentation suggests that the site of Youngblood's home is where Magnolia Dale now stands. The house has been restored and is now the headquarters of the Edgefield County Historic Society. Tours may be arranged by request ($2 contribution requested) and contains many very interesting artifacts all with fascinating histories. Mon-Fri 9a-5p (weekends by appointment). The home is now operated by the United Daughters of the Confederacy as a museum. Open Wed-Fri 10a-4p or by appointment. Admission fee. Located at 300 Columbia Road, Edgefield SC 29824.
