 Guilford Courthouse National Military Park - Greensboro NC

General Nathanael Greene's American Army met the British forces of Lord Cornwallis in an attempt to stop Cornwallis' drive northward through North Carolina. In only two hours Lord Cornwallis acheived the upper hand forcing Greene's army to retreat but it was not with out a high price. Losing over 25% of his army, Cornwallis was neither unable to pursue the retreating Greene nor continue his northward march through North Carolina. 2332 New Garden Road in the City of Greensboro NC.
