Explore the wonderland of a wetlands marsh without even getting your feet wet. A nature trail boardwalk and adjacent trails in the woods make exploring as easy as a stroll down your front sidewalk. The Hunting Island Lighthouse, now abandoned, is open to visitors.You can climb the stairs to the top, if you wish, and enjoy a superb view of the island and beach. This 5000 acre park includes such facilities as cabins, a campground, picnic facilities, nature programs, pier and lagoon fishing and a boat ramp. There is also a park store, gift shop and tackle shop. About 17 miles from Beaufort on US-21. Phone 838-2011.
