Part of the Mountain Bridge Wilderness and
Recreation Area, the 7,500 acre Caesars Head State Park overlooks the foothills of South
Carolina from its lofty perch. Near the park headquarters, a scenic overlook gives a
panoramic view of Table Rock and other peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. One of the
highest waterfalls in the eastern United States, Raven Cliff Falls, can be easily reached
via one of the many hiking trails. There is a very interesting suspension bridge over
Raven Cliff Falls approximately 3½ miles from the Raven Cliff Falls parking lot. They
hold very interesting nature programs. A small store and gift shop is on the premises.
Trailside camping in 23 designated areas is
permited (fee $2/night), - registration absolutely required. There are no other camping
facilities. There is a picnic shelter and a nearby restroom.
