Here in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains
with Lake Jocassee at the front door is a great example of cooperation of private industry
and government. Devils Fork State Park was designed and developed in cooperation with Duke
Power Company and is being operated and managed by PRT's State Park System.
Over 50 RV sites, 20 mountain villas, 20 tent
campsites, picnic areas (complete with shelters), a well developed and maintained nature
trail help make this park a showpiece. Lake Jocassee, one of the most beautiful lakes in
the state, helps create the relaxed atmosphere sought by most vacationers. Whitewater
Falls, Drift Falls and Horsepasture Falls are in the immediate area. Take SC 25 from SC-11
