Marion area BOAT RAMPS
There are over a third of a million boats registered in Carolina. Most find their way to our fabulous waterways via boat ramps. Unfortunately there is no single source revealing the locations of these ramps. We are working with the Wildlife Commissions to build a list which will include directions to help you find these ramps. This directory will be a-building for some time to come! Lake James: Burke County - Canal Bridge NC

Exit I-40 at exit 94 (Bridgewater - Snow Church) and drive north to US-70. Turn left, driving 1.7 miles to SR-1233 (it's right after you cross the creek). Turn right and follow SR-1233 through Bridgewater about 2 more miles to the ramp (on your left)

Lake James: Burke County - Linville River NC

Exit I-40 at exit 90 and drive into Nebo. Continue through town on NC-126 and follow it around across the lake to the Linville River Bridge. Continue one more mile from the bridge (when you see the lake again coming around the bend, you're there.)

Lake James: McDowell County - Hidden Cove NC

Exit I-40 at exit 90 and drive into Nebo. Continue through town on NC-126 and follow it to the ramp (approximately 1/2 mile south of the Catawba Spill way).
