Built during the Great Depression by the Civilian
Conservation Corps, mountain paradise is situated on a natural shelf in the shadow of the
great Blue Ridge Mountains. Two mountain lakes provide opportunities for swimming and
fishing (bass, bream and catfish).
Overnight facilities include:
- Nineteen 1 or 2-bedroom cabins
accommodate 4 or 8 and includes bath and bed linens, cooking and eating utensils,
automatic coffee maker,
- A small army-style barrack

- 150 camp sites

Note: Each RV site has individual water and electrical hookups and picnic table and
accommodate RV's up to 35 ft.

Six well marked trails:
- Oconee Trail - an easy 2-mile loop
- Old Waterwheel Trail - a moderate 1.5-mile loop
- Running Pine Trail - an easy 1-mile loop
- Lake Trail - an easy 1-mile loop
- Hidden Falls Trail - a moderately difficult 2.5 miles
- Access to the western terminus of the Foothills Trail
Non-motorized fishing boats and canoes are available for
a modest rental fee and fishing is permitted on both lakes. There is also an archery
range, playground and 18-hole carpet golf. A small store is on the premises.

Directions: From SC-11* at Walhalla, take SC-28 west,
through Walhalla, to SC-107 (will be to your right) and then follow SC-107 to the park
(about 2 miles) on your right.
*From I-85, exit #1, take SC-11 north (you can't
go south) to SC-28 at Walhalla. Then follow the above directions.
