This park is named after the old stone
"station" building which is the main feature of the park. The station was a
fortified blockhouse and Indian trading post during the Indian frontier days and is said
to be the oldest building in this area.
This is a day use park. Except for the historical assets,
fishing in the park pond is about the only other activity. There is a short walk and a
small picnic area.
From Walhalla follow SC-11 for about 10 miles. Right
after you cross SC-183, turn left onto Oconee Station Road. Follow this for another 2
miles to the park entrance (on the right).
