Santee State Park - Lake Marion near Orangeburg SCWith convenient access from both the I-26 and I-95 freeways, Santee State Park on the western shore of Lake Marion includes among its facilities 30 cabins, 174 campsites, 6 picnic shelters and 2 boat ramps. From I-95 take the SC-6 exit (exit #98) toward Elloree. Proceed 1 mile to State Park Road and turn right. Follow this road to the park entrance. Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery - OrangeburgSee (in aquariums), read and hear about many kinds of game fish, including the redbreasted sunfish and the endangered shortnose sturgeon. Santee State Park - Lake Marion near Orangeburg SCWith convenient access from both the I-26 and I-95 freeways, Santee State Park on the western shore of Lake Marion can be a great pausing spot for travelers. It even features a restaurant that would compete successfully in any large metropolitan area. Considered prime fishing by many of the local fishing enthusiasts, the park is known for its catfish, largemouth bass and striped. Many nationally known fishing tournaments are also held at Santee. In fact, there is even a daily boat tour of Lake Marion departing from the park. This 2,496-acre park includes such facilities as 30 cabins, 174 campsites, 6 picnic shelters, 2 boat ramps. Note: a parking fee is charged. for day-time users - $2 per car or motorcycle and $7 for vehicles with 15 or more passengers. From I-95 take the SC-6 exit (exit #98) toward Elloree.
