| Carolina comes complete with
parks. Along the Savannah River (South Carolina's Fresh Water Coast) the U.S.Army Corps of
Engineers has built and maintains many strategically located parks enabling visitors to
better enjoy some of the most beautiful man-made lakes in the North America. The
U.S.Forest Service has their parks, most with camping facilities, in the many National
Forests in Carolina. |
The National Park Service is
also well represented especially in Western North Carolina and along the Atlantic Coast of
North and South Carolina. Both North and South Carolina maintain extensive state parks,
many with modern campgrounds complete with RV hookups (see
note: About NC State Parks). There are also many county and city parks many of which rival the best
state and federal parks. |
