Sited at the bottom of the slope of Table Rock Mountain, this park is the place for the out-of-doors-minded folks. Well-marked foot trails climb the side of the mountain (and they can be rugged) with spectacular views. It is a rugged, 3.5 mile climb to the top of Table Rock but, if you can do it, it is well worth the effort. Wear good hiking shoes because there are some very slippery rocks. Facilities also include 14 cabins and 100 campsites (some will accommodate 35-foot RVs), 4 picnic shelters, and 2 lakes (canoe, kayak, paddle boat and fishing boat rentals available).
Note: a parking fee is charged. for day-time users - $2 per person. Visitors
15 years of age or younger and seniors 65+ from the state of SC are admitted free of
charge.
